Sprinter Vans
Would a Sprinter van be right for your smaller, time-sensitive and high-priority shipments? “Sprinter” is the generic term for any full-size cargo van. Smaller and more maneuverable than a box van, these vehicles are intended primarily for short journeys in busy urban and suburban areas.
What are Sprinter Vans?
“Sprinter” is the generic term for any full-size cargo van. Mercedes-Benz owns the “Sprinter” name but Ford and Dodge produce very similar vehicles; the Transit and the Ram ProMaster. The vans we use for expedited delivery are selected for their proven reliability, efficiency, capacity, and overall performance.
Smaller and more maneuverable than a box van, these vehicles are intended primarily for short journeys in busy urban and suburban areas. They’re nimble and lightweight, yet carry a healthy payload and have surprisingly large interior volume. They are however, just as good for long distance, cross-country, and even international expedited freight jobs. And with our sophisticated satellite tracking technology, we know where each van is at every step of its journey, and our expeditors keep the customer informed accordingly.
Sprinter Van Cargo Capacity
Exact dimensions vary by model, but for planning, work on a Sprinter van providing a width of 52”, a height of 70”, and up to 12’ of length. That’s enough space for three standard 48” x 40” pallets. Tiedowns are provided for securing pallets, boxes and other objects so they don’t move around in transit.
Maximum payload is around 3,000 lbs. Some models will handle slightly more than this.
With many Sprinter vans, loading and unloading is aided by a large sliding door on the side, in addition to the rear doors. Sprinters are readily loaded from a fork truck but note that the floor is below the level of a standard loading bay dock.
TYPES OF CARGO
Their ample interior volume makes Sprinter vans incredibly versatile:

End to End Solutions
Sprinter vans are a cost-effective solution for businesses transporting smaller loads. They offer significant fuel savings compared to semi-trucks, reducing overall transportation costs while maintaining efficiency. This makes them an ideal option for time-sensitive shipments, such as medical supplies, high-value electronics, or perishable goods, where both speed and care are paramount.
Furthermore, Sprinter vans can provide more personalized and dedicated service. Unlike traditional freight carriers that consolidate shipments, a Sprinter van often carries a single load at a time, reducing the risk of delays caused by multiple stops or transfers. This direct-to-destination approach enhances reliability and minimizes the chances of damage or misplacement of goods.

Sprinter Van Advantages
Sprinter vans are highly advantageous for expedited freight due to their speed, versatility, and reliability. They are designed to be nimble and fuel-efficient, allowing for quick deliveries even over long distances. With their spacious cargo areas, they can accommodate various freight sizes while keeping goods secure. Sprinter vans are also known for their durability and advanced safety features, ensuring goods are transported safely and without delays.
Capabilities
Sprinter vans are also highly customizable, making them an ideal solution for a variety of industries. Whether configured for expedited deliveries, mobile workshops, or passenger transport, they offer a flexible platform that businesses can tailor to their specific needs. Additionally, their fuel efficiency and lower operational costs compared to larger trucks make them an economical choice for companies looking to optimize their logistics.
Cargo Capacity
The cargo capacity of Sprinter vans is limited to the equivalent of three or four pallets, so they’re not intended for delivering large quantities of production parts. Rather, these are the vehicles you turn to when a small batch, a specialized tool, part or device, or other urgently needed equipment, has to be on-site as fast as possible.
Because of their size and speed, Sprinter vans are commonly used for time-sensitive deliveries in industries such as medical, manufacturing, and automotive repair. They are ideal for transporting high-value, fragile, or perishable goods that require careful handling and rapid transit.
Reliability
Customers for our Sprinter van service come from the oil and gas industry, manufacturing, retail, and chemical processing. Wherever there’s a need for fast, predictable, and reliable delivery, our Sprinter van service gets it done. With a deep understanding of the urgency and precision required in these industries, we ensure that every delivery is handled with the utmost care and efficiency. Dimensions
Exact dimensions vary by model, but for planning, work on a Sprinter providing a width of 52”, a height of 70”, and up to 12’ of length. That’s enough space for three standard 48” x 40” pallets. Tiedowns are provided for securing pallets, boxes and other objects so they don’t move around in transit. Maximum payload is around 3,000 lbs. Some models will handle slightly more than this.
This capacity makes Sprinter vans an excellent choice for businesses that need to transport mid-sized loads efficiently. Whether it’s expedited freight, last-mile deliveries, or specialized cargo, the available space and payload ensure that goods are transported safely and securely.
Loading and Unloading
With many Sprinter vans, loading and unloading is aided by a large sliding door on the side, in addition to the rear doors. Sprinters are readily loaded from a fork truck but note that the floor is below the level of a standard loading bay dock.
This lower floor height makes Sprinter vans particularly user-friendly for manual loading and unloading, reducing the need for additional equipment like dock plates or ramps in many scenarios.
The spacious rear and side access points also allow for efficient handling of cargo, whether using a forklift, pallet jack, or manual labor. This flexibility is especially beneficial for businesses that operate in locations without traditional loading docks, such as job sites, retail stores, or urban delivery points.
